Warden, Dr. Shannon
Dr. Shannon Warden is a Professor of Counseling and leads the Graduate Counseling Program at Piedmont International University. Previously, she taught Counseling at Wake Forest University and Gardner-Webb University. Dr. Warden is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) in North Carolina and has counseled hundreds of couples, families, and children since graduating with her master's degree in Counseling from Wake Forest University in 1998. She served on the counseling staff of Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC, for several years prior to completing her doctoral studies in Counseling and Counselor Education at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2009. Dr. Warden continues to provide counseling on a limited basis through Triad Baptist Church, where she is the Director of Counseling and Director of Women's Ministries. Among her many accomplishments, she has co-authored two books with Dr. Gary Chapman, the most recent one being, The DIY Guide to Building a Family That Lasts (Northfield, 2019).
